Action for diabetes (A4D)
“The first child to be diagnosed with T1D in Laos was in 2016. Not because T1D didn’t exist before then, but because every child who developed the disease died.
Without insulin, the body can’t absorb sugar from the blood, so it cannibalises itself, leading to a slow, appaling death.
Action4Diabetes is trying to change this by providing disadvantaged children with medical supplies and education in 10 countries around South East Asia.

I’ve decided to focus my efforts on raising money for one charity so have closed this page. Thank you to everyone who donated, I look forward to fundraising for marine conservation with future projects.
Our oceans are in a bad state. 94% of commercial fish stocks are overexploited and 90% of large, predatory fish are gone.
BLUE is a marine conservation charity that aims to see 30% of the world’s ocean protected by 2030 and 70% managed in a responsible way. My local water, Lyme Bay, is one of their flagship projects, but they have 21 projects worldwide.
BLUE creates marine reserves and works with communities to develop sustainable models of fishing. They also tackle unsustainable fishing and restore marine habitats.
